I noticed that my Corn snake has a couple scabs and I am wondering what they could be. Does not seem to bother the snake even if touched. Looks like possible old cysts. Also I did check for mites and everything looks normal. She is by herself and is feed f/t mice so it is not bite wounds. Her sheddings are ok also. Any clue as what it could be?http://http://s235.photobucket.com/user/ptbmaniac/media/P3240046.jpg.html?sort=6&o=0

How long have you noticed that they have been there? Snakes are really great at not showing pain, so she may just not be showing that it hurts. How long have you had her? When was her last shed? Do they lesions seem like they change when she sheds? Is there any discharge from them, or do they look just like scabs? Lots of questions, sorry! :)
If you could post some more pictures, including her set-up, and maybe some closeups of the scabs if possible?

Just noticed them yesterday! I spend time with my snakes everyday. Couldn't figure out how to post pics from photobucket. She is around 2 years old, just shed last week, and it was a perfect shed. There is no discharge of any kind. It looks like there was a hole that is now scabbed over. It looks just like it was attacked by a cat. I have healed a lot of wild snakes that have been attacked. This time its not a bite from anything. There is one on her side down towards the vent area and one about 3 inches from her head on the upper side near the top of the body. I do have some antibiotic cream that I have used in the past with gauze for wounded snakes, but she would never stay still long enough to wrap her. I am not overally concerned as I have dealt with much worse with wild snakes. I just have no money for the vet right now as I just spent almost $300 on vet bills for a Leopard Gecko.

Copy the IMG code of the picture on photobucket and just paste it into your thread here

I tried that. It didn't post the picture or a clickable link. Let me try again.

They look like deep punctures!

Yeah that is exactly what they look like, but there is NOTHING sharp in the cage! The wounds look exactly like the wounds I have seen with wild snakes that have been caught by cats outside that I have helped. This snake has not been attacked by anything so I am stumped.
