I just got this guy this morning, I could not be happier, no signs of jag weirdness, I hope as he gets older it does not develop.

He is a stunner! What do you mean by jag-weirdness? I've never heard of that before, but have been thinking about a carpet as my next snake.

thanks everyone. Jag weirdness is the same as the spider morph in ball pythons if your familiar with that, they wobble there heads around and turn upside down and what not.
And yes there is a very small amount in the world of these. I got him from henry piorun who was the first to ever produce them, I have a jag 66% het albino male, and 3 50% het albino females from that clutch already from late 2010.im going to sell the jag het and use this guy instead unless my females get of size before this guy is ready :)
Wow, this is my first time seeing an albino jungle. Sharp looking little guy you got there

Many jag keepers are now avoiding the use of premethrin anywhere near their jags. Some believe (me included) that this can trigger nero issues in jags. So no nix or pam anywhere near him.

hmm, I wonder how these people are getting rid of mites when they get them? something I would be interested in trying the next time I get them. I have used nix a few times on my jag 66% het albino, when I got him he was rock solid, now I notice from time to time he does some things just a little weird, to an untrained eye, no one would ever notice as its that minimal but once in a while during feeding I see a movement just a little out of the norm, could be me just putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5, but you got me thinking now.

these girls I got as babies they would be sitting in my hand and directly bite the floor there sitting on, ie my palm lol you don't see aggression like this every day, and rapid stikes im all too familiar with as well now. funny thing to is they don't hiss at all, all teeth no bark, I think they want to hurt me in the worse way lol

this season my carpet mentor, flung his young visual albino in with his female diamond,he also threw a male diamond across her (he witnessed both them locked)...
he wreckons the female diamonds gravid and it will be easy to spot the pure diamonds, from the ones fathered by the mixed albino visual
diamond het albino would be pretty amazing imo
i'll let you know how he gets on mate

Oh sweet please do, I hope your buddy gets some eggs that hatch, I read online that one guy got a couple good eggs from a albino to diamond cross, but the eggs died during incubation, not sure how much of this is true if any. but that's all I could dig up on the pairing. so I think your buddy may be worlds first if he pulls it off in time. and for the mite treatment, I cant get that stuff, all mite treatment is illegal in Canada, over here we can only use nix and other head lice shampoos unfortunately.

hmm do they ship? we used to be able to buy it in BC years and years ago, but it was banned and pulled off the shelf, I did a search after all the stores around here told me they are not allowed to sell it any more, and came up with a bunch of info saying it was Canada wide, where did you see it? I hope im wrong.

im going to look into getting pam now that I see its here in Canada, proof you cant trust everything you read on the internet lol I have heard good things on the site about pam, and would like to try it, nix around here is about $17 for a small bottle that gives about 8 liters when mixed with water if I remember correctly, how much is the pam?

I personally feel there is no real trigger that can be pinpointed. They will ALL show it to a degree. Some worse than others. Also, having one that shows little signs means nothing. It does not mean its offspring will not show the signs. In fact, it is already proven that the degree of the "jag syndrome" of the parent has no influence on the degree the offspring will show. It is the same for spider balls and enigma leopard geckos. The disorder comes with the paint job and there is no amount of outcrossing that will get rid of it. Keepers and breeders just need to come to terms with this fact.
Would I ever breed Jags? No, I would never consider it. However, being that the disorder is linked only to jags and is not passed on to Jag sibs, I see no problem with producing them because it will not affect the gene pool on the whole.
With all that being said, to the OP, your little albino Jag is smokin.
