View Full Version : My little monkey....
Here's my newest baby! Finally after a couple years of just having BPs I thought I'd get something a little different. Never thought I'd get a Corn but as soon as I saw her I just had to have her!
She's quite the little climber so far and is very adventurous....aka likes to move around A LOT. But she is nice and gentle too :)
Not really sure what morph she is but I'm thinking Reverse Okeetee? She is quite reduced and has a lot of light purplish hues along her whole body. I'm thinking of naming her Enya (Celtic for Little Fire), but I'm open to any suggestions.

She's so pretty! How about Kenna? Means "Born of fire". Or if you're a Hunger Games fan, Effie actually means "Fair flame" in Greek
Awe thanks! I like the name Kenna, thanks for the suggestions :)

Umbrella plants are only toxic if ingested in large amounts. The out side of it is harmless.

Yeah it's just a plant I have in my house. I figured since it was the biggest one she'd enjoy climbing around in it :) And as stated before she's not eating it. Plus if it were toxic to have around her it probably wouldn't be so healthy to have around me either ;)
And thanks :D
Nice corn snake how old is she?
Thank-you! I'm not entirely sure since I got her from a lady online. I'm guessing she's still quite young, maybe 3 months?
Stunning little corn
Thanks :D She's such a precious little thing :)

Beauty Bud, I just got one too :D I posted a pic!
Thanks! :D Cute little things aren't they?! I checked her out, she is very nice!
*Update*
I wasn't able to get any food for her until today when my supplier was available. I'm happy to say that she gulped down 2 pinky mice with no problems! I'm also expecting her to shed as she was quite diluted 3 days ago so I'm excited to see her new skin right away. Pictures will follow of course :)

Thank-you! Actually I got her from a lady on craigslist. Although I am guessing she got her from Roger's Aquatic in Surrey since all of the supplies are from there and she may have mentioned that she came from there as well.
Once I saw her on craigslist and loved how she looked so I snatched her
*Update*
She shed today! And man, it was a perfect shed too. Eating, shedding, pooping without a problem. Can't complain here! Anyways, thought I'd share post-shed pictures!
Also had a chance to weigh her, she is now 23 grams. I'm sure in the next few weeks she will gain quite a bit, since she seems to eat no problem!
Oh and I decided to name this sweet thing Penny :)
Perfect shed~

nice, I talk to the people at rogers all the time, good shop and really friendly staff, everything in there seems tip top and clean, and animals always look really healthy. I go there for crickets every week for my tarantula, damn thing wont eat roaches at all lol I go there for a 2 second trip, end up walking out 30 minutes later lol Really like the pattern on that one for sure, im tempted to pick up a corn/king/milk, I really like alot of them all if not almost all of them I see, but with all my snakes and the fact I would not be getting it to breed, I just keep watching from the side lines. one day ill end up not being able to resist. :P
She's looking good :)
She's growing up already! I swear she grows an inch everyday.... :wacky:

I have never actually been there, but now I'm quite curious. Most of the pet places around me are department pet stores or just based strictly on fish. I've checked out his site and everything and I'm thinking tomorrow means a visit! :bouncy:
My tarantula won't touch crickets at all, she prefers meal worms over anything it seems. Maybe that will change as she gets bigger. Haha that happens to me at every pet place, I go in to grab something..I end up looking around for awhile....possibly buy something I shouldn't....hehe. Pet places are dangerous!
I was debating on a corn for awhile. I knew that they weren't as relaxed as a BP but also totally different when it comes to size ratio and stuff. I guess it was at the point that I was looking for a sign whether or not to get another snake. But what do I stumble upon? Her of course :D Plus I may or may not breed her, it's not a plan right now. Just a cute pet so far :) There are so many morphs for these guys too, all of them are pretty stunning!

rogers aquatics is not a big store, pretty small, but the staff is really friendly, I end up chit chatting at the counter everytime lol they do have about 15-20 cages in the back that have usually corn snakes, beardies , spiders, scorpions, hermit crabs, usally some salamanders and stuff, but im a fish guy as well, so I always look at there fish, even know I cant put anything in with my snakeheads now lol im a dreamer <<
I figured it would be, plus most stores have a huge section just for supplies. It's nice seeing smaller businesses rocket and become successful, plus if they have variety it's even better!
If I could I'd have my aquarium set up here, but there is just no room. I could stare at fish all day if I didn't have other things to do haha.
Just a quick picture of Penny. She's doing really well, she has eaten 2 pinkies every 5 days no problem. Probably the fastest eater of the bunch! Plus she is growing like a weed :p

And by the way about the plant generally they are just toxic if ingested and snakes will not take bites of plants of course. They say they are toxic to animals because cats and dogs will chew on them
Thank you! I will try and post some updated photos of her today :) She has grown quite a bit since then haha
