For a carpet to be almost completely arboreal? My diamond jungle doesn't go on the bottem of its enclosure unless its soaking in its water bowl. It hasent used its hides in a long time either. Its just up on the perches or in the water bowl.

Totally normal, most of the carpets I've owned never really went on the ground.

The enclosure is 4'x3'x2'. It has a 250 watt ceramic heat emitter. So the temps range between 93 in the hot spot to 80 over ther water bowl to high 70's on the ground of it. And ok I was just trying to figure it out because she really never goes on the ground.

most of my carpets never go near the floor of their enclosures mate

re soaking in water bowl
it could be because the tanks too hot or there may be mites on the snake

that said some carpets seem to like a soak

i had a bredl that used to soak after it ate

She isn't in her water bowl all that much. I was more worried about it being to cold because she was always on the perches or if not there in her water bowl or curled up on the rim of the bowl. The hot spot is around 95 then on the bottom on that side is 83 then on the other side its 80 on the perch then 73 on the bottom on that side. So I just wasn't sure cause I'm still learning with the whole carpet thing.

Nice to see you back Shauny ;)

thanks Rob mate

had the best part of 2 weeks worth of medicals and assesments for my medical appeal, against that French firm thats trying to destroy disabled folks lives:angry:

to be honest,i didnt feel much like turning my computer on,far less communicating on the forum

imo our Governments taking things way too far my friend :hmm:

re example
they have just abolished the Mansion tax.....

which was a tax on homes valued at 2 million or more....

the example they gave was a guy with a 2 million and 3 million pound homes,he was due £50,000 tax per year

they are how ever going ahead with the bedroom tax.....

people will lose the following from their rent rebates...

1 spare room = £14 per 2 weeks
2 spare bedrooms = £50 per 2 weeks
2 spare bedrooms = £88 per 2 weeks

re example
on the same page a disabled woman who lived in her house for 22 years, will lose her house because she has extra spare bedrooms in her home...

under the new bedroom tax,she will lose £88 rent rebate per fortnight, after so many weeks of rent arrears, she will be evicted onto the streets

the Governments attacking pensioners, disabled and the poor, while making sure the rich are better off...

imo the UK is one of the worst places to live in the western world mate

cheers shaun

p.s.sorry for de railing the thread folks
