I've been using these for a while and they are pretty cool. Not sure what there called but i think they fall off palm trees.

Poision that is a great idea. I never would of though of that and I see those palm branches everyday on the ground. Mater of fact im going to the backyard for one now.

Poision to youput a clear coat over it so it dosnt build up mold?

Cool i would love to see the enclosure when its done :) And a little donation would be nice for giving you the idea :p lol

And no i don't seal it. I'm hoping the bugs and bacteria in the enclosures will help with mold. We'll see how it gos. The substrate really isnt all that wet so i don't think mold will be a proble.

Heads up for anybody using these for a tortoise that likes to dig. Keep the back of it touching the back of the enclosure or it will be a pain in the *** to get them out to come inside at night lol.
