Hey guys,
Abigail is my first BCI and currently my biggest snake at 6.5 - 7ft, maybe 30 lbs?

My BRB is as long, but you could stack two and it would still be smaller than my BCI.

Question: Are they usually this docile? I've heard of puppy tame, but she is ridiculous. No hissing, minimal head shyness. She even moves in a gentle direct manner. When she tries to circle the neck, I get little resistance when I adjust her to a more safe position. (across the shoulders and arms with no neck circle at all.)

She was a rescue, and I didn't seriously consider BCIs...until now.

Think I'm in trouble. Am I going to end up with a signature like Chuck's? LOL

The Big Snakes are looking less and less large to me. I'm a scairt.

Jandee, are Brazilian Rainbow Boas the same way? I don't have any large breeds yet, but the BRBs are very interesting to me and on my short list of future purchases.

Check the Epicrates sub-forum. Lots of good advice and experiences. Personally, I love BRBs. I take mine out in my backyard for some sun for him, and so I can see all the iridescence.

BRBs can be nippy when young, and are sensitive (In my experience) after feed. One of the most beautiful of all non-venomous snakes. They are sooo bright in the sun.

Our two BCI's are like that. They are very sweet snakes. One is 2 years, the other 3. Unless you're a rat, you're pretty much safe with them. They're strong as all get out for their size but neither one of them have ever been the slightest bit aggressive.

Our BRB did nip our daughter on the finger but she was just a bit too rough with him that time. She learned her lesson fast. LOL

Don't be scared by not seeing big snakes as scary. They're actually quite fun and cool.

Very normal, they make wonderful pets as long as you do your part and keep the enviorment right.
