View Full Version : Ever seen a Banded Galliwasp? Seriously cool.

Saw this online and thought you guys would appreciate it. I had never heard of them before today. Seriously cool looking lizard! I think it looks like a Cali King with legs :D

I believe they change colors as they mature, but I'm not certain.

They change colors. I like the juvenile colors, but honestly I'm glad they change to their adult coloration. It looks more natural.

Can't say I've ever seen one before. They do indeed look like legged king snakes before they hit adulthood. The colours after they mature are just gorgeous!

Someone did have a hatchling for sale on fauna not too long ago, I cant remember an exact price but it was very pricey. I also like the adults better

it looks like it has little red trap door tarantulas as feet lol thats a super cool lizard

Thats very interesting that they change so much as adults.... There are no kingsnakes in their native area, right? What about banded sea snakes? I'm wondering if they are mimicking something, or just using warning coloration?
