Couple of Questions.

Ok so I did find my snake but I have decided to get rid of my snake. I really dot want to but no one else in the family likes him and my sister is actually scared of it so I figured it would be better for the family to get rid of it. Hopefully when I get a bit older I can start to get some snakes again but for know I think that it is best. So I will be getting a Leopard gecko and I have some questions. There mainly on the calcium and vitamin part. Ok so I can't really find any of this in any care sheets. I know you need Calcium but is it suppost to be the Calcium with D3 or without the D3? Do you need to feed them MultiVitamins? That's all the ones I can think of off the top of my head but I will probably ask more. Any help will be awesome. Thank you

Calcium with D3 - you can leave it out in a little container (I use a well cleaned bottle cap) and they will actually eat it themselves.

I feed my leopard mealworms and I'll dust them every other day with a multivitamin.

I have a bearded dragon, leopard gecko, and kingsnake - I find the leopard gecko to show the most signs of "intelligence" of the 3. She's incredibly curious and seems to take her time to think and process what she sees before jumping into a situation (which my bearded will do - if she sees something new, she jumps and takes off running towards it. My gecko looks at it, will look at it from different angles, slowly approaches it, tests it out with a foot and a lick, before climbing on it). Not to mention the cleanup for the leopard gecko is much easier - always poops in the same exact spot every day - a corner of her tank away from everything else.

I think they are a great reptile and if you do get one, I think you'll enjoy observing it.

Ok that's for clarifying. Is repti cal a good brand because I know they have a multivitamin and a Calcium with D3 that I see at y pet store all the time.

what a beautiful snake. We had a similar experience. We had to sell a corn snake because family didn't want us to keep it. Its sad when these things happen but make sure that the person you are giving your snake to, knows what they are doing and that they genuinely want the snake or else it will end up like ours. Although the guy we gave it to had owned snakes for years and years, he had no idea how to look after a baby corn snake, feeding it once a month until it died of starvation.

I hear most people recommend Repashy. I use the reptical for my gecko and dragon and they both seem to be healthy.

A young corn fed once a month would be thin and grow slowly but i cant see it dying of starvation?? How was it kept? And what was it eating?

Would this mixture work if I just put a bowl of it and kept it in there all the time.

Anyone know if it would be ok? I'm just wondering because I'm going to be buying some mealworms from there and some other stuff so it would be good if I could just buy that too.
