So im going to an expo soon and i have 2 tanks that i havent quite decided what to get for them, in one im just going to get something neat and will decide there, but in the other i would like a breeding pair of.... something :/
im going to be breeding my leopard gecko's for sure, but im not sure what else yet. i have been suggested crested gecko's and red eye crocodile skinks, upside to the skinks is they breed year round but one egg at a time so it would be easier to find periodic buyers for young over the year.
i know a lot of you are old hands at this, what is a good species to start up with?

Get more Leopard Gecko's!!!! Or I know that Crested's are really easy to breed so that would be a good idea too. It all depends on what you want not what other people like. You should do breeding projects because you like the animal not because you think they would sell well. Same goes with the pet get what you like not what other people say they like. But as some ideas it depends on the dimensions of the tank.

Garter i completely agree, i wont get anything i dont think is awesome, and i will probably end up with all of the above EVENTUALLY. I will also love caring for the babies as long as i own them. Frankly i will be selling them to fund my love of them, the more i sell the more i can buy upgraded tanks and equipment.
So i should rephrase, what should i buy FIRST :P

Get a Tokay gecko morph.
Not really seen up here. Besides they need huge enclosures.
My opinion is to get none. Get a handle on just one species and start there. Maybe get more leopard geckos.

Lol yep it all depends on what you want to do and what you have time for / the money for. For example I you like Leopard Geckos I would say just get more of them and see what you can come out with. Or if you like Cresties then breed those because pretty much if you stick two Cresties together they will breed. But say you liked Leachies but you might have a problem because they are like 500-800$ each. What I'm saying is that money is also a big part of it. Another good thing about Cresties is you don't have to worry about spending a fortune on more crickets because they eat CGD which is relatively cheap.

500-800 might seem like a lot (because it is) but I think that if you put more in there is more you can get out of it.
