I was wondering what the cost of an albino burmese python would be in today's market. I live in canada and know there is probably a pretty big cost difference then in the states. Any input will be appreciated.

Locally I've seen them $50-100 not sure about retail prices.

Depends on where you live in terns of the cost... however keep in mind that in some municipalities there are length restrictions that make ownership of burms technically illegal

So make sure you check the exotics bylaws in your area

I have looked at the exotic bylaws and they are legal to own. I am in no rush to purchase one, more for future references. Thanks.

What age do you want?

Probably a young specimen it would be my first "big" snake other then my boas and would probably like to work with it over time to get a better feeling of his temperament so when it's larger I can better judge him.

New Brunswick is sweet. If you don't like it why not move?

Super expensive. Virtually no one breeds them in Canada anymore.

Contact Sean Yates via facebook. He's the only guy I know who does so on a regular basis.

Not exactly what would have liked to hear but I guess with not to many people breeding them I should have assumed they would be a bit on the expensive side. Thanks

The prices in Canada suck for giants, a friend is looking at importing some the states because the price difference is so high.

Aside from prices most areas still have a 2 meter rule so technically you could lose them once they get over that size. Mind you if you register it and keep it on your property chances are you will be fine. I spoke with my local Humane Society about the bylaws where I live. He showed me a picture right on their summer camp brochure with a 3+ meter albino burm being held by a bunch of kids. We laughed. As long as there are bo complaints or stupidity with your snake they are very resonable in Kitchener. I have all of my animals registered with them just incase any of this changes. I would suggest to anyone in Canada thinking of getting a giant to be sure to register it if it's legal where you live and be sure to be on a first name basis with your local HS. And please if giants are not legal at all where you live don't get one. It puts a lot of stress on the rest of the community to prove your only a bad apple and the bunch is still good.
