Hey, just checking in. Ive kept snakes for a while now and Im recently getting back into it. My first snake was a ball python back when i was 17-18. After moving to CA I got another BP, then a Colombian RTB, and later on a jungle x diamond carpet. After having those for a while I moved due to having a baby on the way and I had to get rid of my snakes. Late last year (2012) I started keeping snakes again. I started with a Brazilian Rainbow Boa '12. Currently my collection has grown to 6 snakes. BRB 12, ATB (halloween phase) 12, GTP (female) 11, GTP (female) 11, GTP (male) 12 or 13, and recently got a White Lipped Python (female) 12. Ill be posting videos and pictures!

Alright! Another Rainbow fan. No BPs? How do you like your GTPs? They are on my One Day list. Looking forward to pics.

I've had BPs and to be honest with you, theres nothing fascinating about BPs to me. My GTPs are my babies, I love those things. I have two females and a little dude. I highly recommend getting GTPs. I handle mine frequently (3-5 a week) and I show them lots of respect and care, and in turn I feel they feel comfortable with me. I have a couple of videos up. Check out the GTP section, I posted a video there.

Are they as nippy as they seem when hatchlings?

My females (sub adults) don't strike at all. The only time that I can say my male has been nippy was last night! We feed on Sundays and he was in hunting mode (night time) so he was striking like crazy, but he's young and I have never been bit by him previously. I have however been bit by an adult GTP that we used to have and it's a really bad bite, I also have been but by a sub adult that left a tooth in my knuckle but that wasn't too bad :)

These snakes IMO are worth the hassle :)
