Im building a Melamine cage for my JCP, Ill be heating with Flexwatt. Question is, Can i put the flexwatt inside the cage and cover it with a piece of glass with silicon around the glass to protect from moisture or does the flexwatt need air flow like an UTH would need? Thanks
Depends, do you want your house to burn down?
I would not recommend ANYTHING that has to do with electricity used around moisture. Just common sense.

which is why i said **with silicon around the glass to protect from moisture**
Willing to take the chance that ZERO moisture will EVER get in there

If it's for a jcp belly heat is not the way to go anyway.
Get a rhp and all of your issues are gone. Jcp's preffer to bask on branches over sitting in warm hides so a rhp is far superior for this application.

^ agree.. Either a radiant heat panel or a Ceramic heat emitter.
I like Radiant heat panels more but either would work much much better than flexwatt.
