I'm posting this here because when I tried to post it in the ssnakess.com section it was always saying I wasn't logged in when I had just logged in. Which is my problem. When I click on threads and when that page comes up, in the same tab and window, it says I'm not logged in, when again I was already logged in. This happens more times than not. And it happens on random threads. Not just some specific ones. Any ideas as to why?

That seems odd. Does it possibly say that you are either not logged in or do not have permission to view that page. I know that happened to me when I first joined when trying to view pictures.

It says a combination of both. It just took me like 5 minutes to reply to this cause it kept happening.

Try checking the "Remember Me" box when you log in :)

Hopefully a mod will see this and sort it out for you then!

What browser are you using?

Try running some virus scans to be sure you don't have any viruses or tracking cookies, clear your browser's cookies, cache and temporary files.

Somehow your cookies/saved passwords are being erased, either due to malware or possibly even security program settings. Did you install/upgrade a new antivirus or anti-malware program recently?

I upgraded my Spybot S&D and it started erasing all my passwords, so I had to downgrade to an older version.

Clock calendar is correct. Running IE9. Antivirus up to date and scans regularly. Was doing it once again. Had to log in on my phone to reply to this. Tried checking the remember me box also. Don't have any malware or tracking cookies.

I had heard there are still people in the world that use IE. I didn't want to believe it was true.

Reasons not to use IE: it's absolutely freaking terrible.

Reasons to use Google Chrome or Firefox: they aren't IE.

Try Google Chrome or Firefox. Or download both. I had to try both to decide I like Firefox better, my hubby prefers Chrome. The only thing I don't like about Firefox is that every once in a while Flash crashes (which means videos won't play - but all you have to do is restart the browser to fix it)
We NEVER use IE. It's a very insecure browser.

Also, you can have tracking cookies and malware without knowing it, also many Antivirus programs don't catch all of them, which is why I have good anti-malware programs, such as the free versions of Ad-Aware and MBAM.

Interesting article, couple years old but still valid info. 12 reasons not to use Internet Explorer, ever | Computerworld Blogs (http://blogs.computerworld.com/18552/12_reasons_not_to_use_internet_explorer_ever)

PS: Are you a member on other forums? Do the login problems happen there too?

I already had Google Chrome installed just forgot about it as I never use it. Using it now and was able to post this on the first try. Now let me roam around the board and click some threads and see what happens.
