Hi, I'm Lindsay! I figured I'd join. I don't have any reptiles yet, but I'm going to an expo this weekend to pick up a bp (preferably female normal or low end morph)
I've never had a bp, but I have taken care of one for 2 years in an animal studies class in highschool.
For some reason, I'm excited about breeding mice :p
I'm a bit worried because I've been noticing that a lot of people say you can't only have one bp! So I'm sure I'll end up with more over time.

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you are breeding the mice to use as feeders I would advice you breed rats instead. It is easiest to start a ball python on rats and keep them on them. Otherwise you will have to switch an older ball to rats if you start them on mice. For an adult Bp it would take many mice to make an appropriate size meal as 1 good size rat will do.

Thanks for the advice! Rats will be fun to breed as well!

Hi! I'm new too, although I've been reading tons of the posts here. Don't be worried. BPs are just so enjoyable if you go into the hobby after you have done your research. Such neat little individuals. Also, after you have gotten the husbandry down, you find it easy. After being a long, long time fish keeper, I'll say that BP husbandry is easy and pretty straightforward. Go through the threads, you'll learn a lot.
