so, i was looking into breeding sand boas, and i was wondering how the best way to keep a pair would be- two seperate ten gallons and only bring them together for breeding, or two together in a 40 gallon like i know a lot of people keep them?
Just curious, no real breeding plans as of yet.

Most breeders I know keep all animals separate until breeding time.

So, i should keep them separate? or does anyone on here keep them together?
LOL i've never bred or kept animals together, so i'm still trying to figure out the kinks here...

Nobody really keeps snakes together. Very rarely does it happen. To my knowledge, people generally only keep garter snakes together.

Seperate it is, i guess. In the mean time, i should probably start building a snake rack to house the babies.. any clue on how to do that?

I was thinking just make a shelf, buy some tubs, and then put rows as tall as the tubs, then route heating cable under them..... does that sound right?

Strictlyballs Home (http://www.strictlyballs.ca) has a great rack DIY. You can modifiy it suit your tub size needs.
