Possible scale rot?!?! Help!

Soooo today I noticed that by bp's belly had turned pink (which normally happens when she's about to shed. Her eyes haven't clouded (that I noticed... It's possible they already cleared up), but as she was resting, part of her belly was against the glass and I noticed some things that are very unusual.
I noticed two spots like this one:

And two scales that look similar to this:

None of the four spots are particularly near to eachother and the surrounding scales (other than the pink belly) look perfectly normal. Is this scale rot? Should I rush her to the vet? I'm freaking out because she has refused food for about a month and now I wonder if this is the reason and I just didn't notice it. I'm so worried about her now.

It could be a possible early stage of it but I'm not an expert. Here's my recommendation though :)

I would purchase some Betadine solution from behind the counter in the Pharmacy section at Wal-Mart. You can do a soak with a mixture of Betadine and water (the water should look like tea) and soak for 10-15 minutes. You can also get Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Vitamin E Enriched) also at Wal-mart (Generic Brand is fine) and put a small amount on the affected areas. Make sure that it is the Ointment and NOT the cream though. :) Hope this helps!

No problem! Also if he isn't already, use paper towel as the substrate to keep it clean. Do the soak daily and follow with the ointment. Also, the ointment will usually get on everything in the cage so be aware of that :)

I've tried the paper towels and they wouldn't keep the humidity about 30%. She's on cypress now but I'll put her back on paper towels until this clears up. :)

Yeah paper towel can have that issue, but like you figured out it's just a temporary thing. Plus you want to keep her a bit drier so the rot doesn't spread. Let us know how she does!

Definitely no expert, and it's good that you're taking the necessary precautions, but as it is possible you simply missed her cloudy phase, I don't know that I'd get super worried just yet. To me, the picture of her belly scales looks almost like it's just getting ready to shed. Either way, hope everything goes well! :)

My pyhton has got red in the scales right now , the same as yours . He has had it a few times , the vet said maybe he had caught it on something . I bath him often to keep the pink down on his underside , just before he sheds. Just keep an eye on it , as i do . Hope all is well . Tracy.

What is your set up? Specifically, what are the heat and humidity levels in your enclosure?

Sounds like good advise as long as it is scale rot, I would go to the vets for a proper diagnosis. But in the mean time keep it clean.
