I had another clutch of CBB High Yellow Water Monitors hatch this week. 11 out of 11 hatched over a 5 day period. This clutch was the result of a CBB Reptile Guru High Yellow male X a High Yellow Sumatran female. The offspring really turned out very nice looking, lots of really bright yellow and contrast. I have a much larger clutch of 24 from the same breeding due to hatch at the end of April, it will be interesting to se how much variety is in that clutch.

The father of this clutch:

Thanks guys. Working with the Salvators is very rewarding. They are a great species as long as you are up for the requirements.

varanus1: My incubators are just a refrigerator with shelves and heat tape or a Kane heat pad running on a Thermostat. They are pretty simple, not much to them. Here are a few photos of one for my Reticulated Python clutches.

Would you mind posting the range of babies visually? Like the least colorful one, and the most colorful (or most expensive) one?

In our Water monitor selling days, these animals here would definitely be A and Superstar animals, really outstanding!

Sure Robyn...I grade them based on the size of the yellow ocelli (large yellow dots) and the concentration of it. In reality some of them are very hard to grade, they all look pretty good, and some have small ocelli, but tons of yellow speckling, so it gets hard to decide what should be what....but I do my best. Different lighting and different angles of photography makes them look slightly different also, also if they are wet or dry, the pattern shows up looking different too. Getting good photos of these guys is sometimes enough to drive me crazy as they are almost always on the go, very curious! Here are some photos with the same lighting and set-up.

Here is the one I graded as #1:

Here is the one I graded as #6:

Here is the one I graded as #11:

Yeah, I don't know if "#1" means good or bad, but I like #6 best : )

They all look stunning to me..

Ha Ha. Yea, now you guys can see why its so hard to grade them. Thanks for all the compliments!

there all stunning, frankly, the grading with those quality creatures isnt needed, they are all on the same level and that as high as you can get.

congrats on the result.
