and loving it", says pajaaamas. After getting all the water out ive kinda got the humidity under control, hes still mad about me destroying his burrows :C sorry dude. Had to carry his dirty butt over to the computer to get some shots of him, at first I put him on a table cloth we use to cover the bird cage at night because he was caked in dirt and to be honest i didnt want to mop a whole floor. Though he couldnt be happier :I filthy lizard...

Then he got a bath and was allowed to roam about where he has now wedged himself under the sofa. I worry about you son.

I am really yellow but the dirt has kinda muted it- tis cool though, I love mud.

Also, just to get him out without getting nipped at he has to be fed. Idk why he changed but he did. He has been eating about 3 small rats a few night crawlers and some shrimp this week, he has now refused crickets though downs rats and seafood and night crawlers :/ Weirdo

I found that he does best with this new soil, it holds moisture in really well and more often than not he has a big old clog of mud as a hat and looks at me like:

"WHAT. STOP JUDGING ME. YOUR HORRIBLE AAHHHHHHH."

what kind of dirt are you going to swap out with? Im using a peatmoss/playsand/clay mixture

Just like monitors should be!

Dirty but smells so good- earthy!

Dirty but smells so good- earthy!

Natural, dug up dirt. I'm using a home depot/play sand mixture, works great, just "stains".
