Rats for my IJ

I successfully switched my IJ to rats today.
She was eating hoppers when i bought her and you guys said it was time to switch. My pet store only gets small rats and they looked huge for her so I ordered baby rats and bought her a an adult mouse to tied her over. She ate the mouse like a champ last Tuesday
Today I gave her 3 pinky rats until they can get in some fuzzies.
She ate these without hesitation.

I think I now love snakes.... How would have thought thy would be this cool???

Carpets could build a preference for mice, and start to refuse rats.

You don't want to have to feed 10+ mice to a Carpet in a single feeding because it won't eat a rat..

imo your Irian will take small rats with no issues mate

Carpet Pythons can take 2,3,4,times their girth in prey with no issues

imo your Irian is way too big to get fed rat fuzzies,imo it needs larger prey

re mice
i would stop feeding mice,just incase it gets a taste for them and refuses rats,sometimes the older they get,the harder it is to swap them from mice to rats,it takes a lot of mice to feed an adult carpet
