Hey everyone, I'll be making a cage for some Cresteds sometime in the near future and I have some questions. This will be a natural vivarium btw. What would be the best material to make the cage with? What would be the best way to attach branches to the sides of the enclosure?

Post any help and ideas you have, this will be an arboreal oriented setup, so it allows for a lot of creativity!

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,

I am having my crested gecko cage being custum made for me but I can keep you updated on the process that my friend is doing on the cage. I should all so note the cage will not be built until Feb.
I can not do the all screen cage because I have a cat, but on two sides I am going to use plexy glass and on the end glass for the floor heating pad.
Like I said I am not building the cage my friend is so I will try and pass on some more info if you wish?
Good luck.

I use plywood with plastic laminate on it. 1/8" pucnched aluminum for ventilation, and a glass front. To put branches and othe decore in i just screw it into the sides. Ill post some pics when i get a chance.

Just out of curiosity do you live in Shawnigan Lake?

here some pics of my empty cages that ive been throwing the idea around for cresteds.
http://www.angelfire.com/bc2/razorreptiles/images/uploads/cage1.JPG The whoel cage is about 190 galons
http://www.angelfire.com/bc2/razorreptiles/images/uploads/cage2.JPG Inside of cage. The lighting is NOT done and will be totally redone.
http://www.angelfire.com/bc2/razorreptiles/images/uploads/holestick.JPG This is for planting bromiliads, air plants, and other small rooted plants. The inside is siliconed so the wood doesnt rot, or go moldy.
http://www.angelfire.com/bc2/razorreptiles/images/uploads/punch-mesh.JPG The ventilation, its spray painted.

hope this helps.

Not possitive, but its aprox 4'H, 2'W and 18"D. Im either going to use cresteds, or move my grandis in.
