So I got this girl a week ago. I waited until she'd eaten and settled in before getting pics, as hard as it was to resist. I don't care what anyone says; she's the prettiest snake ever.
She came with the name Lucy, but I'm gonna have to change that. Considering Nagini, but dunno yet. We'll see. :)

I wanna get some natural light pics, but I don't think it's supposed to be sunny for a while.

Thank you. I know she's not super fancy or whatever like most people's snakes on here, but I'm happy to have her. :)

I don't rate "social status" by how fancy a snake is.
Take good care of it, and that's all that matters.

Thanks everyone. :) Out of curiosity, what do y'all think she'd be sold for? She was purchased at a reptile show by the lady I got her from, but I didn't ask how much for.I don't rate "social status" by how fancy a snake is.
Take good care of it, and that's all that matters.I hope I'll do everything right. Temps are good, hides on both ends, lots of bedding to burrow through, humid hide, big water bowl in the middle nearer the warm side.
I do still want to make a custom enclosure for her sometime though that will give her more floor space. Used furniture can be converted, right?

My Blizzard was valued at $100-150, I'd probably say the same with yours.

name her mrs tickles...No.
Also, why? o_OThat's awesome, have you handled her yet?The handling for the pics is the extent of it thus far, and that was about 2 minutes. I'm not one of those people who handles their reptiles very much. Even my leo doesn't get handled very much. I'm happy to just observe and not bother them by handling.

Ah I was just wondering if she's docile or not. In the past couple months I started to handle my snakes only once or twice a week to check on them and hold them for about 5-10 minutes. The green anaconda I'm keeping for someone I take out every other day to let him soak in the bath is very docile until I try to get him out of the water.. He hisses and puffs but no bites :p

That's good, I've never had problems with aggression when handling kings but it seems like many others have.

I don't disturb my reptiles either.I don't really see the point. I have 4 dogs, 10 cats, and a rat who all would actually enjoy attention and affection. That's what they're for. Reptiles, not so much.

Very nice little king there.
I very much enjoy handling my snakes. It's not the same as petting my pooch but I also consider all outside the viv time handling. 4of my snakes are big enough to let roam my reptile room gor 20 minutes at a time. I have to handle them to remove or replace them from their vivs but the rest is freedom with only a bit of re directing if required. I don't stand there and hold them for 20 min. We love letting them roam.

Congratulations Maggot. I think you made the right choice. As for the name Nagini. How original! I have never heard of a snake named that before.
name her mrs tickles
^^^^ If you were to do this you must get a male and name him Mr Dress up do they can play with his Tickle Trunk.

I know it's very important for boas to get out and exercise.

Eddie Izzard is awesome.
It's too bad that NBC chose not to run "Mockinbird Lane" the pilot was amazing, but the ratings sucked, so the execs decided to scrap it. Review: Mockingbird Lane (http://www.tvrage.com/news/3028/review-mockingbird-lane)
