Where to meet more snake owners?

Not met any snake owners here in Alaska.

Moving to VA/DC area for a while (that's the general plan). Can't find any groups on Meetup that are into reptiles in that area either. Would like to widen my circle of friends and also meet more "snake people".

Any idea where I could meet people like that in my area?

I would look to see if there is a local herp society in the area, that would probably be your best bet :)
