Looks like a Colombian BCI I to me. But I'm not an expert, so don't take my word for it.

I would say central american.. but the saddles are a wee bit reduced and cleaned up. I'm sticking with central american though.

There's not enough speckling or pattern for it to be a central.. so yeah as the above have said, colombian.

There's no way to know a snakes locality unless you know it's lineage.. Just tell everyone it's a common boa.
ya its a bci, and in shed...

IMO, if you don't know the locality 100%, just stick with common (unless it's VERY obviously not, i.e. Argentine).

Not trying to be rude, but there's no reason to post exactly what I just said.

My apologies for trying to show continuity in a belief. By that line of thinking, common boa had already been established, and you shouldn't even have posted either, since there was clearly no reason for it.

One person stating something starts a thought process, when someone else then back that process up it adds more weight to the process, you should really be thanking someone for agreeing with you :)

People were debating whether it's a central or south american.

Didn't look at it that way, very true.

People were debating whether it's a central or south american.Actually, they weren't. Only one person suggested Columbian (and then changed their mind after more people suggested Central). RCF was agreeing with you. Be happy that's actually happening instead of being ungrateful.

Your asking the million dollar question. Your safe with saying common boa. Realistically there are very few pure red tails in the trade. True red tails are larger and heaver bodied and generally have vivid distinct markings and dark maroon or red tail marking with distinct black outlines. Most of the morphs in the trade are Central American or Columbian in orgin. If you want to see a true BCC, look at the Suriname Red Tails. They tend to also be trickier to keep, higher humidity and some times picky eaters, and respond poorly to stress.
