I'm confused about my kingsnake. His colors faded as he was readt to shed, and his eyes had turned milky. then his colors and eyes went back to normal like he had just shed, but there is no skin to be found anywhere. He's shed before, and you definitely can't miss seeing his skin lying in the cage. Do snakes sometimes eat their own skin? I don't know where his skin went.

After the snakes eyes turn milky, they'll turn clear again for a few days just before it sheds...so you should expect to find some skin pretty soon.
