I feed Lazarus Jumbo Rats (Thawed), what would be the next step up for food after Jumbo rats?
As well as what would you feed a snake to help grow in length?

What is he?
Usually rabbits or Guinea pigs are the next size up. Guinea pigs are high in fat though.

He owns a retic so I would assume it is for this
guinea pigs are a great stepping stone from rat to rabbit, as sometimes, it's hard to find the right sized rabbit.=]

imo it will down to genetics how long your snake ends up mate
imo you can increase the girth with food, but not the length

As of right now I feed Lazarus bi-weekly jumbo's, I learned that if he is still hissy after being fed; it is more than likely time to go a step bigger for food. I just recently started him on jumbo's; so I know for a while he should be good. It is better to be prepared and for the inf informed prior to going to the next step up. Thank you for the information and the help. A book can only do so much!

You can feed chickens, fish, Guinea pigs, pigs or rabbits.
Which animal would be the healthiest to feed Lazarus?

I would go with rabbits myself as they are pretty lean. Pigs might be your best option when he is full grown. As for guinea pigs and chickens they are quite fatty. The fish is something I have bo experience with but I cdn_blood used to feed his retic fish.
