Hi Guys,

I just put a deposit for a gtp, wich I'll pick up in a couple of months, now I do have a few questions, currently I have 2 setup availables, one 10g tank, fully planted, substrate is a mix of coconut fiber, natural crush charcoal, spagnum moss and tree ferm and clay background, other setup is a 45g hex tank fully planted, substrate is top soil, cococut fiber and cork (attach with GS to the back wall) background, both setup are with 12 hrs daylight.

Now my question is the GTP is a baby so wich is the best setup for him/her right now, I know later will need to upgrated to a taller cage, wich I already have, since he/she is still a baby I wanted to make sure she does not ge stress, I post pic for both enclosures when I get home, any advise will be really apresiated.

Probably the 10gal.... they can be insecure in big spaces

Go small until it has its colour change and then upgrade :) just make sure there are plenty of perches at different temps and humidity and he should be fine :)

And dont forget pictures ;)

Thanks man!!!, but I dont have a ebook to download the book, Im waiting for my cousin in the Uk to find if that web still has it aavailable, if not, I guess I have to buy a ebook.... lol

In another note, I had a few questions for the heating, currently have the top cover with a piece of glass on top of the metal cover to keep humidy, Im using fish tank lights (white lights) for the plants, as you guys can see all the plants are growing.
Im planing to changed one of them on the left to a regular heating light for hot spot, is a 40 watts light to strong for a 10 gallon tank?

Not sure how I missed the initial thread, but nice enclosures man! You obviously know what you are doing based on that substrate mix. Have you added any bug life to the substrate to help breakdown the wastes?

Beautiful juvi GTP. I love how vibrant they are, truly a beautiful specimen. I'm sure it will be happy in that awesome enclosure, I know I would be!
