finally got my enclosure set up and got my gtp in it. i was originally going to get a hatchling but got a really good deal on this guy. the enclosure is 4X4X2.5 and am running a humidifier from target attached to a hose that goes into the cage.

The enclosure looks great! If you're looking for a "cheap" thermostat I recommend these, I've got 4 and they work fantastic.
Amazon.com: Hydrofarm MTPRTC Digital Thermostat For Heat Mats: Patio, Lawn & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-MTPRTC-Digital-Thermostat-Heat/dp/B000NZZG3S)
if you want something that can do both and you're ok spending a bit more a Herpstat 2 can control both a heating element and a misting element to give you exactly what you want. I don't see anything from ZooMed that gives that kind of control.

Thanks I'll check those out for the humidity I used a human humidifier rigged with tubing works really well and keeps the humidity high when I need it

Amazon.com: Zoo Med Laboratories SZMRF10 Repti Fogger: Pet Supplies (http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Reptile-Terrarium-Humidifier/dp/B0019IJXD2)
If your looking for a hygrometer, you should check any hardwhare store you can get a nice digital one witch is more accurated than other sale by reptile suppliers, haveing your enclosure with a high humidity is good for your GTP, but try not to go over 90%, that's when mold start to grow if you have any wood braches
