I'm trying to draw up a set of plans for a DIY BP viv, and I was wondering if I could get some help with the dimensions?

I designed this (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=a18e5046bbe33deed67773f637ca5527) on sketch up, would it work? :)

Oh cool! How do you heat/light yours?

I use rope lighting just for the fun of it. I think I have turned it on once in the last 6 months. I heat with a radiant heat panel, that is what you see in the second picture.

Would you use the same type of light/heating method for a set up something like this one?

I would use a Radiant heat panel in everything I could. So yes I would use them in that set up as well. The top photo I put up has another viv on top of it as well... so same idea.

One thing I want to let you know is.. when using a radiant heat panel the top of the viv will get warm. Not hot but warm. If you are using a radiant heat panel in the bottom viv check the floor of the viv right above it. Just monitor your temps. If you have the hot sides for both snakes on the same side you might be able to keep the top RHP at a lower temp due to the added heat from the bottom one. I have a 1/2" air gap between mine so that is not an issue for me.

I use ceramic heat emitters and have a similar setup, three vivs on top of each other with no gaps.
Put the snake needing the lowest temps at the bottom and keep all the CHE's above each other for the other vivs. Make sure the thermostat probes are all placed in line also.
My "middle" viv takes a lot les heating than the bottom or top one :)
