I so want this beauty. The word gorgeous does it no justice. I just don't have an extra 25k.

I can't post a picture of it for some reason but bob clark has produced them.

They're not 25k anymore, Bob and one person in the UK have now produced albino pieds.

Pretty neat.

Are they recessive?

Yes.

Double recessive on the albino pied of course.

Odd because he still has them listed at 25k.

Pieds are 25k, albino pieds are not.

Big difference.

I find it odd that he pulled off a double recessive before a recessive+codom/dom lol...

Who said albino pieds are 25k? I think I am missing the point of your post?

Big swing of the game again.

Recessive, especially double recessive, are a gold mine over the co-dom/dom stuff. It'll hold longer. Smart thinking on Bob's part.

You don't !?! Why that's mere "pocket change" m'boy! *snort* LOL

That albino pied is a beauty. Quite an interesting pattern and coloration.

The original pied was a male though, I would have expected to see a codom come through before a recessive simply because of how long they take to reproduce, in terms of value though, bob generally plays his cards right and his business has done really well because of it. If only he didn't treat his customers like dirt :P

Sadly I have to agree . . . his CS is horrid and any of his non multi-thousand dollar snakes do not get very good treatment :( My last retic I got was from him and it actually came in with blood in the snake bag and a nice rodent bite on the back of its neck. Along with a few hitchhiking mites. Told bob and he honestly could have cared less . . . of course the snake is in good health other than that and is eating so . . . yep.

I wouldn't know his customer service as I've never bought anything from him. Not the first I've heard of it though.

He's a nice guy in person. Been to his shop many years ago.

Easier to get it into codom stuff now by getting recessive genes out of the way. Always go with recessives first on the morph, keep the price high, and you'll have codom stuff coming out by the time most people are getting the first recessive genes, it also gives him a chance to hit codom/double recessives while everyone else plays with hets. Good marketing for sure.

He also has to limit himself. Wouldn't have been hard to throw him to an albino and a few codom girls and get good clutches and have a huge leg up, but he doesn't want to rush the morph into the market and he wants to base recessive to hold value obviously ;)

Pied, albino or not, is just stunning. Definitely a dream snake. I don't think I could ever justify the price of one as just a pet. As gorgeous of a pet it might be. ;)

Just wait a few years.

Gorgeous Retics in this thread. I prefer the regular pieds to the albino pieds...

I just saw Bob today and he has always treated me with great respect and has always been a pleasure to deal with. I have never seen any problems with his animals. I saw two of his baby pieds today and they are gorgeous. I believe he did still have them priced at 25k.
