Hi all, just a question on my snake . As a rule he sits around most of the time, more so now he is older (15), but now and again he lets me know he wants to come out of his viv. He then snakes around for maybe an hour or more , and he loves to take the stairs, although quicker coming down then he is going up. He is a large snake , so have to be careful ,only he is a good climber. He stops for nothing. I wondered if anyone would know what this is all about. regards , Tracy.

As regards my previous question , i meant to say that he only snakes around like this 3 0r 4 times a year, i cant see that he is on the hunt for a rat , only he sits and waits for that. Ive always wondered about it, could lt be any thing to do him hunting a mate , maybe i will never know. I am going to try to put some pics on tomorrow, help is at hand. Tracy.

I'd think that he's looking for a mate. Not sure, though!

Yes that is what i wondered, its just the way he snakes around, so fast and speedy, and maybe sometimes up to two hours, there is no stop in him at all . It does make me wonder what he is looking for.

Around this time of year... probably what every single guy in a club looks for every night ;)

they tend to look for mates as soon as our winter kicks in and the ambient air temperatures in their tanks cool down
