They love romaine lettuce but use it only as a treat it is too wet and will cause pyramiding long term, they should have hay and dry veggies as their main diet. They don't drink a lot but should have water available. And yes they get big and once grown have the ability to move furniture and damage drywall. They like to dig and are not as slow moving as one would think. Post some pics and let us see your little one.
