Sweet little moni!
Is there an easy answer to why there appears to be more leucistic kings around than normals?

Was the first a female?

Yep. The first is a female and the second is a male. They will be paired up this season. We also have a gravid lucy female that was bred by a het male.

Is there an easy answer to why there appears to be more leucistic kings around than normals?Because there is more of an incentive to breed leucies. Same reason albino burmese are more common than the normal ones. I personally like the normal ones better, but both forms of these are stunning!

That is indeed the case in Europe. Here in the States, it is rare to see either. The normals are also pretty drab looking. No rea pattern to speek of and the coloration is just brown. Dont get me wrong, even in normal form they are awesome lizards to keep but the leucistics ae much more attractive to the eye.

For the record, I like the look of normal burms over albinos. LOL

That's super exciting! When will these become available to the public?

You know, maybe you could just give me a couple of each, that would solve the problem nicely..

I agree, I much prefer normal burms..

If everything goes right this season, I would say by late summer we may have a few available if we do not hold them all back again... LOL

One day, I would like to have one, even a normal.

Give it a bix 8x4x4 and watch it run around.
