Hi all!

I'm relatively new to western hogs. I got my first, a male, in October. He's a nice orange albino with a voracious appetite and seems to be having a growth spurt right now. I need to get a new scale to get a good weight on him. I think he hatched sometime in late May or early June in a clutch that was a little over half tiger-pattern albinos and half not.

I gotta say I've really enjoyed having him. It's a totally different experience from my BPs. I took the plunge at the recent White Plains show and picked up a 100% het albino girl.

I went into this with the intention of having an interesting pet snake but I feel like I'd like to consider breeding them down the line. Unfortunately there aren't as many info resources online for hogs as for something like BPs. Are there any must-read articles or sites on hognose breeding? Are they a bad snake to start with if you've never bred snakes before? This wouldn't be for awhile yet, since I'd like to save up enough to get the materials and fully work out any husbandry issues first. I like to do my homework before getting into these kinds of things. :)

I've seen pics of the parents of both snakes and they come from some pretty good looking stock, especially the albino's tiger mother. I love the variety in shade/patterns in hogs! My personal grail would be a Snow (seriously, saw 'em in white plains, gorrrrgeous) but even just getting an Axanthic to breed with an albino to get the double hets is really expensive :( Are there any morphs under the thousands-of-dollars range I should consider adding to the little collection for a future project?

I need to get better quality pics, but here's the male :)

I'd suggest Justin Mitcham's caresheet on his website. His website is Extremehogs.com

Any suggestions on a better source then? I've actually read that caresheet...what's off about it, out of curiosity?
