Thanksgiving is the celebration of the Native American's last supper. The British befriend them, fed them, and earn they trust. Then stole they're land and raped their women.

Anyway if your family get together are like some of mine here's your theme song for tomorrow.

Pretty much. Personally I've never cared too much for the holiday. I guess I'm a bit un-American.

I hate shopping during the Christmas holidays...period. It doesn't matter if I'm grocery shopping or what. I HATE being at a store so crowded with rude people.

I have to work Black Friday at both jobs. I don't look forward to dealing with all the people hassling, getting pissed off, and being rude and angry over stupid crap.

I'm wanting to look forward to Christmas holidays at my second job as it's normally the busiest season for restaurants. But I've been told by people who'd been there for years that this place is different and we won't get busy until closer to Christmas until about the middle of February. Either way, bring it on! I need the extra money! lol

For the last several years, I've done all my Christmas shopping online. This year I probably won't because I'll be waiting to the last minute. :(

Same, but I'm more than "a bit" unAmerican. ;) Still, once I found out what actually happened with the whole thing (and not just what I was indoctrinated with as a child), it ruined my enjoyment of the holiday. At least I get a four day break from school and work, though. I'm thankful as hell for that!

This is how I see it.

It is a day to celebrate the fact that our forefathers finally realized how crappy England was and decided to peace out.

Happy Thanksgiving !!! Looking forward to good food (my mom makes the best stuffing ever!), a lot of Football, and not having to go to work at midnight tonight (have to go in at 8 am tomorrow, so a normal shift, yaay!)

Lets all enjoy the day, whatever you may be doing, and not argue, okay?:D

Round 1 of the shopping madness is now complete! It wasn't as bad as I anticipated! Of course, they put me at the exit running security :wacky: About half the people who came through set the alarm off. Most were ok with it. I made jokes, made them laugh, and wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Tomorrow is going to be worse....and I have no clue where I'm going to be working (didn't this morning either). I just hope people are going to be in just a good a mood as they were today.

Now to take a nap and have a very non traditional meal. Ribeye steaks, baked potatoes, all kinds of veggies, complete with apple and pumpkin pies. And if I feel up to it, I may even make malts :) With only 3 of us here and my son's friend, there's no sense in making a turkey that noone really wants anyway.

Then to bed early since I have to be at work at 3am at K Mart for 10 hours and then to Kobe's for another 7... Fun! Fun! Fun!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Regardless if you're celebrating traditionally or not, I hope your day is a good one! :D
