When I move everyone into new tubs, I'd like to use flexwatt instead of pads but I know absolutely nothing about flexwatt and connecting a thermostat to it.

Can someone please give me a basic run down on flexwatt, what's recommended to use with tubs and how to install it as well as connecting a thermostat to it?

I'd appreciate any help!

Thanks! :D

Call Reptile Basics, tell them what you're doing and your setup and they'll set you straight. They've always been really helpful to me. I just connect a power strip to the t-stat and plug all of my flexwatt for similar heat requirement snakes into that. It doesn't draw much power.

Sweet! That helps alot! I didn't know that they would be able to help me to that degree! I'll definitely give them a call this next week so they can give me a run down and estimate. I'm hoping the tubs get shipped to my store in the next couple of weeks so I can start getting everyone set up in new homes!

I'm excited to finally be able to get this going for my animals! :D

You tell them the enclosure sizes and the temp requirements and they'll tell you which width you need to give the appropriate hot spot and still keep ambient correct and they'll cut it and attach the wires and everything. I've ordered from them 3 times and I've sent several other people their way all with the same great experiences.

Congrats on the new homes. I'll be making a cheap rack system write up once I get the pieces in.
