There was another breeders meeting at Doncaster today so I thought I would pop along and get some cheap supplies but I happened to come across UK Pythons (Paul Harris) stall and fell in love with this 2012 female caramel coastal that I could not leave without, so I didn't and here she is

Congrats! Love Paul Harris' stuff. All the caramel stuff in the US comes from his line in Germany. Here's a slightly bloody but fun shot of my Caramel male from last nights succesful feeding on his first medium rat that :-D

*Feeding picture - click at own risk as to be more 'pet friend'*
Also, my rule #1 when going to anywhere with exotics for sale, leave the wallet in the car, bring in 20 incase you need feeders or supplies, or they have a really good vending table for human food ;-)

Oh wow. What a beautiful snake! I don't blame you for not being able to resist. :p

EDIT: Seriously, reptileexperts? Feeding pics are one thing, but we really don't need to see such detailed gore. Some of us have pet rats that we adore and really don't feel like seeing that.

Pics like that are to be expected on a snake forum  you just have to get used to it.

I've never had a snake pop a mouse before?! and I thought it was gross when the eyes bulged out

reptileexperts, is he one of Paul's?

reptileexperts
11-18-12, 01:15 PM
He is a direct descendant of the original imports into the US from Paul :-)

A) this is a snake forum, all sorts of feeding pics will be added

B) they posted a WARNING along with the pic, you didnt have to look. Personally i would have posted that pic live in the forum with no warnings as i see no harm with it

That picture would be perfect for our feeding thread.

my python is such angressive eater, she grabbed on to the rat and through it in to tthe water bowl and squeeze it so hard that it looked like someone had pored red koolaid in her bowl.:)

Little harsh I'd say. I don't agree with calling someone a prick for posting a feeding pic.

Its not disemboweled, its just thawed. Anyone who has thawed out frozen rodents knows that the stomach will sort of liquefy due to the bacteria coming back into play when heated up.

Rob, it was originally posted 'live' on the forum and was then edited to put a link to it instead with a warning. Personally I would have left it there as it is a snake forum and there are always going to be feeding pics, some bloody some not, just part of life when you own snakes

He's a good looking boy, have you got any more recent pictures of him showing his full body?

reptileexperts

not at the moment, can possibly grab some tomorrow night after I give him another day to let his meal digest :-) - and yes I edited the post to stop the arguement from arising.

we keep PREDATORS,they kill things,it's what they've done, for millions of years, that is an interesting picture, from the view point of.....

the sheers power a carpet can hit with and the potential damage it could inflict, you can't go flaming people for showing Predator versus Prey pictures,it's a reptile form, hence the reptile pictures

i read the above and just had to open the thread,as to know what carpet or how many, you had picked up,Paul imo is in the top 3 best Morelia Breeders in Europe,he's moved back to the UK now,so its easier for us to access his beautys

thats a great looking wee carmel mate,i look foward to see his colour progression, with updated pic's every now and then ;)

cheers shaun:)

Shaun, Paul Harriss IMO is one of the top 3 Morelia breeders in the world :-) He's wild lines are insane as is the purity of his lines!

I did repost the shot and some more gross stuff and cool stuff over at the feeding thread - http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/general-discussion/88172-feeding-thread-15.html#post789211

Olli at Precisionreptiles.com (http://www.precisionreptiles.com) and Paul are tying in first place imo

Marc Mense also produces a lot of great Morelia

i'd say the above 3 are the best in Europe

that said, there are guys out there working with Bredl crosses, that are most impressive (Rolph Mikkelsen)

a Female Diamond Bredl Jag bred by Rolph, that lives a 20 minute drive from me,is one of the best jags ive ever seen (schroomy's esmerelda)

over here Albino's are dropping fast in price at the minute, which is great for us mere mortals

imo the next 5 years is going to be great for Morelia;):D

cheers shaun

p.s.i would love to import some Gamma line Jags into Scotland, the usa has some great Morelia
