Hey,
Just wondering if anyone orders from Rodentpro and what kind of experience you have had. Any input would be appreciated. I know shipping is expensive but I want to get a years supply. I especially want to know if you we're pleased with the rodents themselves. Were they accurately sized, were they mangled in anyway or were the deceased looking peaceful!:blink:
Thanks JW

i've never used rodent pro but i compared them to LayneLabs and rodent pro was way more expensive in item cost and shipping.

They are at the reptile show they have here every month in Columbus... I've been using them for years and never had a problem. I have heard their shipping is high but since I get them from the show it doesnt really effect me.

I have used Rodentpro, with mixed results. Some shipments have been okay, but others have been pretty awful in my opinion.. Urine stained and feces stained fur and broken limbs and missing heads on the pinkies, just to name a few of the issues.
I honestly will not go back to them after using Loxahatchee Rodents as my main supplier of feeder rodents. They are very clean, packed well, and not mangled into a bunch of stuck together shapes.

Not a problem! Of course that has only been my experience with them, but it definitely left an impression with me. This may sound weird, but my snakes deserve quality feeders, and unfortunately, i did not get them with Rodentpro most of the time, in my opinion.
I've had great luck with them. If you pre-order for delivery at the show you pay Internet prices and no shipping. Plus my friend s picking it up for me Saturday so it's great for me this time.

My experience with them has been okay. I prefer Layne Labs due to price and the animals being in far better condition.

I've used RodentPro before, but won't be using them again. I was very displeased with their dishonesty about their recent zoonotical disease outbreak.

I have used rp for a year now. They are my main supplier and I resale so I go through a lot of feeders. I have never had a customer complain about quality nor have I seen an issues. When things die they real ease their bladder and bowels. Unless they are cleaning them off before packing everyone will have the same issues at some point.
Now I have raised feeders for resale also. Pinkies will always lose heads and limbs if frozen and kept at low temps. It just happens.
As for the zoonotic disease that is so ridiculous. You are just as likely to get salmonella from your snake as you are to get that zoonotic disease from frozen rodents. You either need to breath in aerosolized urine or eat the turds.

Thanks for all the great responses. A lot to think about. Sounds like there are several good sources for rodents.

It wasn't salmonella, it was Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis. :)
