Here's some interesting stuff I've captured from my dubia colony.

A video of the males trying to mate with a female, and her showing she is receptive. They present in front of her, lift their wings and display, and she mounts THEM. I watched them for a long time. Eventually they try to touch "butt to butt" to mate.

Then, two different females with "eggs". Strange stuff, but neat! I actually really like watching the roaches behavior.

Very facinating! Thanks Wayne! The first time i saw it, i picked her up because i thought it was something else, then i saw what it was and figured it was eggs. Obviously second time i left that female alone.

They stay attached in that line, and she can move the line in and out of herself. It's very weird.

Haven't been able to find too many details online about it the whole process.

BTW everyone, feel free to post more information here. I must be typing in the wrong things into google because there doesn't seem to be much information on the process, or documentation.

I know there's only a few of us here that have roaches, but I think they're fascinating!

I like mine. Very interesting even though they are feeders. I like watching them evade my beardies. They are smarter than crickets thats for sure.

Ive keep keeping roaches for a long time. I would buy them for feeders and they would end up as pets. Blaberus tesselata and gigantea are some of my favorites!!

Its almost impossible to find roaches in Canada. Took me almost a year to get my Dubia. I wish we had choices as I would get others.
