Hi everybody! :)

My name's Vicky. I decided to join this forum because every time I have searched for some sort or reptile-related information, threads from this forum always pop up and are typically very helpful. I joined the Monster Snakes forum but I posted a thread and didn't get a response. I won't lie, I preferred the other forum only because I specifically wanted information on Retics and figured that was a great place to start, but if no one is around then that isn't helping much. I'm sure there's a huge amount of diversity here since you all probably have a huge variety of different animals. That's a plus in my book. :)

So, a little about me. I'm a recent college grad with a BS in Equine Studies. I work with horses part time now (ride/train/teach) and I work in internet marketing full time. I drive a 93 Mustang that I am infatuated with. I currently do not have any animals due to being in college for the last four years. Now that I have a great job and a house to live in as opposed to a dorm room that would only allow fish, I am looking to get back into the game. I've had a pretty large array of animals including a red tail, a hogg island boa, a cali king, ball pythons, a handful of different frogs/toads, iguanas, skinks, geckos, etc. I've had a little taste of everything. Most of my collection was gone a long time ago due to a divorce and a nasty family situation. Anyway, I'm looking to start over with just one snake that is going to be my sole baby for awhile. I want to do everything right and am probably going to be asking a lot of questions since there's so many new products I have never used and there's just a wealth of information on here that I'm sure you guys would love to share!

I'm excited to get involved and start learning from all of you. :)

Thank you everybody!

Embrace, I ride English but I do Western for fun. My interest is in jumpers and eventing but I've done hunters and equitation.

Love me some barrel racing and team penning though! :)

You know it!! Do you ride/have horses? :)I rode with an instructor for eight years before she moved back to Virginia. I currently have one horse:

We've done a tiny bit of jumping, but I really wish I could actually train with a professional (we don't have any English trainers in my area). I was the one in the barn who always rode the green/scared/abused horses, so I didn't get to learn as much as others who rode with her the same amount of time I did. Biggest I ever got to jump was 2' 9". :(

What a shame! Your horse is gorgeous! Breed? And where are you from?

What a shame! Your horse is gorgeous! Breed? And where are you from?Um we think he's a Standardbred/Paint cross. He was allegedly a PMU foal from Michigan, so he really could be absolutely anything. I live in northcentral PA, and it's just a bunch of hicks here. No decent horsepeople, and the couple sucky ones here all ride Western.
