I have two 3 ft vivs finished at the top and nearly finished making the six foot viv at the bottom. I have insulated all the way around and the doors of the top vivs. I have used double glazed units to keep the heat in with it being in the garage. I have used 3 by 2 for a climbing frame for them as we'll. it's royals going in the top 2 vivs, and my boa in the bottom. What do you think? Will have more pics when it's finished

I wanted to make glass doors at the top like the bottom doors but units are second hand so I had to make use with what I got. But if in future I take any windows out that will look better i can alter it. What heat bulb should I put in the three foot ones as its in the garage? I was thinking 100 watts in both 3 ft. I have been advised 150 watts for 6ft viv but while its winter I was wondering 200 watts. What do you think

Does your garage have any kind of heat? I use a radiant heat in my snake room (in my Basement) this help keep the room temp at 70 degrees so my heat pads don't have to be set as high. If not then it gets hard to figure out. Because say the temperature drops 20 degrees over night the the heat bulb that was keeping your cage at say 80 degrees during the day is now only got it at 60 degrees in the cage. The same goes with if you use a high watt bulb to keep the temp up at night during the day it might make it to high. One thing you could do is put two bulbs in each cage. A lower watt one for the day and a high watt night bulb.
I would say the best thing to do would be get one of each and was the cages are finished put the lower watt one in, then wait 24 hours and check the temps. Then if you need to up our temps put the high watt ones in and check in 24 hours. This way you will know for sure what you need with out guessing. What every you need for the smaller cage then you will know you'll need twice the watts for the bottom one. If you do need the higher watt one you can save the lower watt once for when it warms up.

It doesn't look like much has changed but I have wired all the lights and heaters up just got to add the decor and the snakes. But monitoring the temp now. Basking spot in night is 31 c :shocked:and in the day it is 34 c and cool side is around 29 c

I think the bottom one is big enough for a Burmese? 6 ft by 2ft by 3 ft. Feel free.i have wired up led lights inside. For day light. Just using the top two at the moment until I have monitored the temp and humidity of the 6ft viv.
