so i was observing a female taking a liking to the soil/cocofiber & soil/sand split i did for substrate. and saw this for the first time. i predicted something similar to this in another forum based on some reports from zoos in europe keeping these. was neat to see. she had been underwater for about 3 minutes before i started recording.

they are pretty docile compared to some other monitors. ive handled them all of 6 times i think, this being the sixth, and have been bit only once so overall yea. mostly a lot of huffing and puffing when i get my hands near them.

It's scuba steve! haha but seriously that is very interesting, I have read about it happening in some species but have never seen video of it in captivity. Very frickin cool!
