I joined just this morning, but I hope to make some friends and find my way around quickly!

I do not have a snake, but I wish I did! Angui means serpent/snake in Latin, I believe. The "Lady" just makes it sound fancy.

I think, if I had to choose, red tail boas would be my favorite snake. Well, and rat snakes. We have a lot of rats, so therefore, a lot of rat snakes. It's a bummer, because people who are less knowledgeable of these snakes believe they are aggressive, useless, and sometimes even poisonous. I've seen people swerve to hit one with their car...

I think they are beautiful. And we'd be overrun with rats if we didn't have an rat snakes. I've seen many dead ones, squished on the road or caught by my cats. I also commonly see garters in the summer. And once I saw a giant, black and white snake coiled up on the road. I still have no idea what it was. We have rattlers, but I've never seen one.

So yeah. Lots of snakes over here in Washington. It helps that I live right in front of a mouse infested field!

That's all, I guess. I hope to see you all around!

Welcome to the wonderful world of sssnakess. :). Just a quick note - snakes are venomous rather than poisonous :) poison is ingested (eaten) venom is injected (by fangs) ;)

Okay, thanks for the info about venomous/poisonous.

Why did I say rat snakes?! I meant bull snakes! We do have rat snakes, but I've never seen one. I see bull snakes all the time.
