... Hey everyone, just wondering, when cleaning your BPs enclosure, does anyone use any type of solution or do you all just use water. i personally soak all hides and the water bowl in near boiling water and repeadly rinse the enclosure in hot water wiping out everything i see, then i dry, and add my substrate back along with the hides and fresh water in water dish. i leave my log hides damp just for a little more moisture to be placed back in but thats my process, i would aporeciate if you guys could explain your processes. just another step in ensuring my BPs are correctly and most effectively cared for. There are of course my new favorite pass time and wonderful pet/friends.

My favorite solution for cleaning animal cages is diluted white vinegar.
I used paper towels, and cardboard hides that I make myself from empty boxes. So when one of my snakes goes to the bathroom I pretty much throw everything out, and wash the tub in hot soapy water. I don't know if using just soap will be good enough if you just "spot clean" in between actual viv cleanings. If I see any waste in my snakes enclosure the whole thing is cleaned out. This is easily done for me, because everything is expendable. If you actually use substrate, and "real" hides/branches ect - then throwing it all out would be a waste of your money. :wacky:

Vinegar and water or steam... depends on what I am cleaning and why
vinegar and water is my vote as well. gets hard water stains out, too!
