As expected, it was a really small expo. Maybe 10-12 vendors there today. I saw tons of the more popular ball python morphs. I'm not complaining since it was first time to every really get to see any morphs of any exotics in real life. No mystic potions though :( (thanks Mykee for getting me stuck on those lol)

I saw some goliath birdeaters that scared me half to death. I met a dwarf burm named Chainsaw...and got to see why he was so named....he's quite feisty! No, I didn't hold him. I watched one of his handlers. :p lol I saw some absolutely gorgeous hypo burms! A really nice purple super stripe (I think?) retic who was just awesome. I handled another retic, I think it was a super tiger stripe. Amazing animal...the clean pattern was amazing and she was quite friendly, not shy at all. I saw some nice snow corns (I've been eying those for a while but not ready to get one yet) and got to play with the cutest little hognose! :D Aside from seeing the retics, my absolute favorite part of the expo was this girl. I managed to snap a cell pic of my son with her :D

If I were not saving for a move, I would have came home with her. She was amazingly tame. I didn't see any of the temperamental bluffing and defensiveness out of this girl and many people were able to handle her with ease. I saw a couple of bloods that were not on good behavior while I was there, but not only was this one just beautiful, her attitude fit her looks :)

I did some f/t rats for my animals. No luck in finding anyone that had rabbits. So I did get what I set out to get.

Oh yeah...I did come home with a little something. I got a little praying mantis. lol I'm not one for little buggies but these guys were so cute I couldn't resist. I'll try to get a pic of her later to show you guys. I think she's awesome :D

any other pics? I went to the tulsa show and was almost sicken by the quality. Been in florida and got spoiled there.

Only one of the purple retic I was drooling over and a fuzzy pic of the hognose. My stupid phone's battery started dying pretty quick so I had to stop using it so I'd be able to use it on the way home for GPS.

The quality of the animals they had were nice. There just wasn't a lot of variety. Even the ball pythons the different vendors had were pretty much the same. Spinners, spiders, bumblebees, lessers, a few pieds, some pewters.... Even the corns were mostly snows and a couple of butters. Most vendors there said that was the last of their stock for this year, hence why it was so little. The only normals I really saw of anything were ball pythons and there were only a handful of larger normal red tail BCI's. No normal burms, or retics....and only one normal corn. I saw a handful of albino boas, a few baby dumerils (I've had mine since they were about 3-4 years old and I can't believe how tiny they are as babies!). There were plenty of geckos there, a few tarantulas, but not one I was looking forward to seeing in person....a cobalt blue. Most were adult birdeaters. A handful of kings, a few milks, and some rat snakes I thought were pretty neat. There were a handful of different scorpions there as well. And the one vendor that had a nice collection of different mantis...manti...?

I was kind of hoping to see some larger lizards, like tegus and some monitors, but noone had brought any, even yesterday. I did see a baby armadillo on the vendors just bought from someone lol.

Here's the one pic I have on the retic. I called him purple earlier (I got purple on the brain). He's actually a lav

I mainly went there to find some food for my big girls. I got what I went for so I'm happy. I may continue to use them since they aren't that far away and I can go pick them up much cheaper than having any shipped to me.

Well Rogue, you were right and I was wrong about you coming home with a few new friends. ;) Congratulations. I gotta hand it to you. Some of us have more self control than others. Glad you enjoyed yourself. These shows are always lots of fun. :)

It wasn't really self control. The move is more important to me than a new animal or two. I only got the big girls a couple of months worth of feeders but I have a hook up for them now so that helps.

And I did bring back a mantis. lol
