Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around lately. I have greatly expanded I breeding operation and between that and school, I just haven't time log in. I have a question though. I have a baby broad banded water snake (Nerodia fasciata) and was going to setup the tetra fauna viquarium for it, but I read something about them getting skin infections if they don't have a good dry area. Even though the viquarium has a land area, I don't think it's all that dry. Does anyone have any experience with this setup and would it work for a broad banded water snake?

Lucky you got a water snake. I don't have any personal experience but if you can make the land area perfectly dry the snake should be fine. I always see them basking on warm dry rocks whenever I see them.

Here's what I was talking about. I think I'll just put a flat basking rock in there for him.

If you can, make the land the majority.
Water snakes only hunt in water, and don't actually spend much of their leisure time wet.

If you've already got it put together, would you post a picture?
They're great little guys, btw, and I'd love to see a pic of your snake too :3

Edit: ohhh you did post a picture, I just cant see it. :C
