So we went to feed Hannibal today, and she didn't seem interested, not only that, she was hissing, alot... She has never hissed, and I am trying to figure out what that means. Any input?

Maybe she is getting ready to go into shed... Check your temps and if they are fine I would just leave her be and watch out for shed soon.

I have a hognose and she hisses every time you get near her cage.. Its kindda funny, then she shuts up as soon as you take her out. I have a boa that has never bit me or struck but only hissed at me once... I went in to get him and he hissed so I left him alone, came back the next day and noticed he had gone to the bathroom so needless to say i interrupted him when he was doing his business and sometimes that's the only quite time us men get so i can completely understand his annoyance.

Hannibal just shed recently I remember seeing his thread about that. As for hissing may just be she doesnt want to be messed with

Ok, well we took the rat away and handled her a little bit (feed her in a separate container) and put her up. She seems fine and yes, she shed about 1.5 weeks ago roughly, I would have to check the calendar though to be sure.

Every snake has its off days when they just want to be left alone.. If my brb or boa's want to be left alone they do a little jerk/shrug when I touch them. I take this as "sod off, I'm chilling" and leave them be. I've had my baby bci hiss at me and my god she's loud for a small snake :)
