This is a question I've been pondering, because I noticed that Aanya(?) put all her ackies in together. Are Ackies social and require companions? Just curious, they're adorable. :)

LOL Antinio. Aanya is a guy.
Anyways, ackies do not require companionship but they do have a social life when together. They communicate with tail wagging. Its funny watching their tails wiggle back and forth. They do it when eating sometimes like they are over joyed to get food lol. They go through a dominance phase were they lay on each other and almost looks like mating. Once the pecking order is establish then there will be an alpha male. Most ackies are kept in pairs or trios once they hit adult stage and they become "bonded pairs" and will stay together in the enclosure. Never a dull moment when you have a trio of ackies doing their thing.

Whoops. Sorry aanayab. I used to play a mass media game and there was a female player with a similar username (aanyaa) so my mind jumped conclusions. My mistake!
Neat to hear about the ackies. Never heard about them before this forum, theyre adorable and look like nice little fellas to keep. :)

No, worries Kaetlinv. I can not hardly wait to be able to start watching my ackies. I'm letting them settle in good before they take the place of TV shows haha.
