Do you guys ever watch your snakes eat?
That was very educational! All you have to do to scare a python off is run over and flash it

I do. My favourite is the baby eating their first meal. Best feeilng ever. Also coolest thing ever that this little thing comes out of an egg and all of a sudden knows everything it needs to do. It becomes a wicked predator.

The only kind of monkey type thing i find cute are those little tiny almost non-monkey kind, and the like, lemur things.
Everytime i see a gorilla it's eating it's own poo, and everytime i see a chimp it's peeing, pooping, throwing up and eating it, picking it's nose, fighting, screaming, rubbing it's butt on something...yuck nasty base creatures lol

I despise monkeys too. You know that irrational "kill it with fire it, deserves to die for being a snake!" reaction people have toward snakes? That's me and monkeys. They turn my stomach. Disgusting.

I have a severe disrespect and hatred for any animal that kills just for the sheer fun of it even on a full stomache. And......
-they kill mostly things half their size or smaller
-kill the weakest of whatever group they find
-kill mostly only with assistance of other pack members
-torture their prey first when the opportunity arises
-will turn on a member of their own pack if they sense any sort of percieved weakness
-will seek out another of the pack members defenceless children and kill them
and the most disdainful trait of all
-turn tail like a chicken---- when challenged by anything their own size or something smaller willing to put up a fight.
Of course crows and lions and monkeys aren't exclusive to this categorization

LOL I've never heard of crows doing that. Sounds like you have a problem with nature in general.
DOBERMAN
10-11-12, 10:24 AM
No not nature in general. Animals that fit all of that criteria is my definition of evil. And have you ever spent time watching crows interact with themselves and their surroundings? - EVIL lol

-they kill mostly things half their size or smaller If I were gonna kill something I wouldn't go for anything bigger if all I had to use were the weapons I was born with
-kill the weakest of whatever group they find Better chance at success than going for the strongest
-kill mostly only with assistance of other pack members Also increases chances for success
-torture their prey first when the opportunity arises Not every method is as quick as a shot to the head
-will turn on a member of their own pack if they sense any sort of percieved weakness Weak links put the whole pack at risk
-will seek out another of the pack members defenceless children and kill them
and the most disdainful trait of all Population control is a good thing
-turn tail like a chicken---- when challenged by anything their own size or something smaller willing to put up a fight. The only insurance plan available

No I have owned pretty much every pet there is to own, and live amongst 50 acres of "nature" surrounded by fish, birds, foxes, deer, coyote, bear, snakes, and... well you name it, because I love nature. Its my personal exposure to all of this, pets and the wild on a daily basis, and my understanding and appreciation of it, to know what I like and what I don't like. I know all your counterarguments thoroughly. I understand it. Most animals will have one or some of the above mentioned traits that I have listed. It is the ones that posess all of those combined that I really don't care for that much.

Ahhhh. Another one of those curious creatures that think there is a direct correlation between their I.Q. and the number of posts they have made on a forum. How 'bout we save the viewers from a drawn out boring pissing match and ingratiate you with the submission that yes, you got me, I hate nature. I tried to pretend I didn't, but alas your superior insight and subsequent interrogation of my views brought the truth to light. You can sleep easy tonight Mr. House

Kat, I think you missed the implied joke in my post about male behavior.
i never saw a Retic Move that fast ever in my life

Like the rest of you I never thought of a snake that large climbing a tree that fast and that easy. That was a great thread.
As for lions and crows and stuff, it's natures way of keeping the small and weak weeded out and assuring that the species as a whole remains strong. Besides everythings gotta eat.

However, they're cute little jerks! :)
I wouldn't want to own one, or have to care for them. My daughter volunteers at the zoo and has told me some crazy stories about them. I didn't even know you're not supposed to look them in the eye. They take it as a sign of aggression or something....
Gungirl

Maybe that's why I like them. I tend to like Jerks.. lol
