Yeah the top one looks real nice. King Snakes are really impressive animals. My first snake was a King they never get old.

I fell in love with kings a while back, I've had boas, BP's, and in my youunger dumber years, western diamond backs ( a miricale I was never bitten) but I got my first king and never looked back. I just recently got a corn snake and she's bitten me twice in two days lol my kings bit at first but this corn is somthin else. I love the pics jlassiter! Keep em commin!

Thanks guys...
I was pretty much forced to work with colubrids.
The city I live in has an ordinance against boas and pythons, although I've owned both a long time ago.
I chose kings because of their unmatched variability.
I've been keeping them for 2 decades and have been breeding them since 1997.

And...I still buy some of the best stock available in the nation (or I'd like to think so...lol).

The top one pictured is a hypermel that is possibly het for lavender and amel.
She has a "conjuncta" look to her.

The second one is a PERFECT example of the mosaic morph.
Every band is broken. It has a solid black back with no light dots.
He'll be an impressive adult.

Don't feel bad. I have the option to own boas and pythons, but I still look mostly at colubrids at reptile expos. You're right about the variability.

I don't really feel bad at all....LOL
North American colubrids are what started this entire industry...

Yeah, I was in a hurry on my last comment. Good point though. I was going to say: which snake has more paint jobs than a King? A Corn maybe? Corns/Colubrids have paved the way for all the morphs we see now...

Thayeri in their natural form....no mutations needed.

I still think the normal black and white banded cal. Kings are stunning. They are what got me into colubrids hands down, then I discovered the morphs lol. I really can't wait to see what your snakes produce, looking foward to the pics and possibly a new addition :)

Correct, but I was just mentioning the variegation from the species whether man has intervened or not.

Yeah 10-4 on that one of my favorites.
