I've been debating over corn snakes and ball pythons for a good month now, and I've decided on ball pythons. However, I do have a few questions about them (yes I did read the FAQ, but I need more details).

1.) I understand that people suggest rubbermaid tubs, but how can rubber withstand the heat of a UTH? Any specific brand of tubs? How big a tub?

2.) What should I start my ball python on feeding wise? What size rodent? (I'm going to use Layne Labs)

3.) If I cross a het pied ball python with another het pied ball python, what will I get besides piebald ball pythons?

Thanks for the help guys! I may have more questions in the future, so get ready! :)

I personally keep my ball pythons in tanks at the moment, but I'm saving to make a rack so I honestly can't give you a sure answer for the first question.

What you feed it will depend on the size of the python. A full grown ball python will eat rats, so I would start on rat pinkies if you get a baby ball. Then obviously work your way up as the snake grows.

If you cross two pied hets, you'll get pieds and normals.

The tubs can easily stand up to the 93-95 degrees they need to be set at... I set my heat tape to 95 so with heat lose and stuff j.side the tub is 92... just make sure you ha e a thermostat...

Start off on rat pups and go up...

Het pied x het pied = noramls, het pied and pieds. I believe its 25% chance, per egg for pieds.
